Abbalanche started in Tasmania. Musician Donna Jones put the band together and started playing ABBA like the room depended on it.
The room agreed!
In the 90s, the show moved to Sydney. Pete & Lesley Watters joined that year. By 1997, we’d taken over.
Same costumes, same sequins, same idea: a live ABBA show built around the audience, the singalong and the dancefloor.
Thirty years later, we’re still running it. Same way. Bigger crowds. A wall full of ACE Awards.
PLW Productions is the new entity behind Abbalanche, but it’s still Pete and Lesley at the helm.
We tour theatres, clubs, festivals, regional venues and corporate stages around Australia. Hens parties. Big birthdays. Bigger weddings.

Every Abbalanche show is built for the room. Singalongs are loud. Audience interaction is constant. Costumes are non-negotiable. Nobody sits through an Abbalanche show for long.
We’ve built a show that works for everyone in the room at once. Hens parties up the front. Grandparents in row K. Twelve-year-olds in glitter. Dads who reckon they don’t really like ABBA who suddenly know every word to Waterloo.
